I love the free Taptu Guardian Environment App. It's a social news reader dedicated to the environment and is a great way to keep up-to-date with the latest news.

You can tailor the app by customising streams which include climate change, wildlife, energy, ethical living, and blogs by writers such as George Monbiot plus “Ask Leo & Lucy” where Leo Hickman and Lucy Siegle answer your green living questions. There are also stunning photos to brighten your day. and you can share news articles, photos or streams via Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, email or save it for later using Instapaper and Read it Later.

The app brings together environment content from the Guardian’s Open platform as well as other media brands known for their environmental coverage such as Yale Environment 360, Mother Jones, BusinessGreen and the New York Times. The app gives environment enthusiasts a comprehensive way to discover, read and share the latest news and photos through a beautiful and intuitive user interface. At the same time, the Taptu platform allows users to mix and match stories from their favourite topics to create their own perfectly tailored environmental news service and share those customized content streams with the social web.
