Review: Wild Rose Smoothing Day Cream from Weleda

Have Weleda created the best moisturiser for those cold winter months? Wild Rose Smoothing Day Cream is an award-winning rich, nourishing moisturiser created for dry skin and to help prevent the premature appearance of fine lines.

A little goes a long way so apply sparingly and gently massage in over the face and neck. I love that Weleda tell you to listen to your skin and use only as much as the skin can readily absorb. I'm sure we've all noticed that if we've been out walking all afternoon on a crisp and cold day our skin needs more TLC than if we've spent the day curled up on the sofa with a book. So always remember to look at your skin and feel it too before deciding on which product and how much of it to use whatever time of year. Another bonus is that this cream is quickly absorbed and makes a great base for make-up but I always leave at least 10 minutes after moisturising before applying cosmetics.

Results: Skin instantly feels plumper and softer. It also looks more radiant although, as with any moisturiser, some of that has to be attributed to massaging in the product.

Ingredients: Pure plant extracts of sedum, myrrh and horsetail help strengthen and revitalise the skin. Cold-pressed wild rose seed oil, rich in essential fatty acids, nourishes and supports the skin’s natural protective barrier.

I've been using this every winter for the past 3 years and think it's a must-have product. I have combination skin and am in my late thirties and find this is ideal for protecting my skin during these harsh winter days. If you have dry skin this could become your new favourite daily moisturiser.
